The installation utilises sensors to monitor
movement within the space, dynamically generating a bespoke 3D ambisonic soundscape that envelops
the main lobby area.
Operating continuously, the system employs Virtual Instruments in Ableton Live to autonomously trigger samples based on OSC instructions from the lighting software through Vezer. Vezer seamlessly converts OSC commands to MIDI signals, facilitating communication with Ableton Live. This 3D ambisonic sound installation is truly one-of-a- kind, unlike anything else you'll encounter worldwide.
Notably, this tour was the sole official tour authorised by The Prince Estate following Prince’s passing, highlighting orchestral arrangements curated by his friend, Questlove (from The Roots). The tour encompassed arena performances with a full live band, incorporating Ableton tracks alongside a live mic’d orchestra.
The technical aspect involved managing a complex 128-input mix on an Avid S6L-32D console with Waves SoundGrid integration, the tour spanned globally, including sold-out engagements at prestigious venues such as The Royal Albert Hall with the London Concert Orchestra, as shown in the image opposite.

As part of Team Ireland for Eurovision in 2018, looking after audio requirements for Ireland in 2018.
Incidentally, this is the last year Ireland made it to the finals. Eurovision is renowned as the world’s largest live music event.
Coast-to-coast tours across the USA. The most recent 99-date tour route is plotted in the Master Tour route map opposite. This production integrates Sound Design in QLab with Shure Axient ADX wireless mics for all cast members and puppeteers. Fully digital control package using Dante for patching ensures the cleanest possible digital signal path with a robust audio management system.
MST3K is one of Time Magazines ‘ALL-TIME 100 TV Shows’. With over 200 episodes, this was the third most popular program on Netflix during the tour. Michael supplies his control package for this tour and it includes an Allen & Heath DLive CTi1500 with a Dante 128x128 expansion card, Shure Axient ADX radio mics with ShowLink, and QLab for playback. All patching is via Dante, operating at 24-bit 96kHz for the highest resolution. ShowLink proves invaluable for managing primary cast members, given the chaotic physical nature of the show and the challenges of stage accessibility once the show starts.

Responsible for artist technical/backline requirements & managing alternating bands and performers continuously from 7 am until 7 pm across two interchangeable stages.
Some groups featured over 100 performers, with some changeovers as tight as 1 minute. This event stood as the largest outdoor event in Europe that year.

package when taking over this position. Moving from Alesis HD24 playback to a fully digital Avid system. Large format mix combining primarily live inputs with tracks from Avid Pro Tools.

The image opposite showcases a performance mixing the band with the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra in China. This concert was televised and reached an audience of over half a billion viewers on China Central TV.
